My little brother Ethan is probably the funniest guy I know. He has taught me a lot about how to laugh your way through life, be generous, and (most importantly) be resilient. Having Neurofibromatosis, Ethan has had to tough his way through pain constantly, but he never lets it keep him from living his life to the fullest. He's knocked down only to jump up and keep pushing. As an older sister never wanting my little sibling to suffer, I would never wish this condition on anyone. That is why I am so excited to be apart of someday ending it! Please help me alongside many others to raise the funds to research and hopefully END Neurofibromatosis! :)
Neurofibromatosis (NF) is a genetic disorder of the nervous system that causes tumors to form on the nerves anywhere body at any time. This progressive disorder affects all races, all ethnic groups and both sexes equally. NF is one of the most common genetic disorders in the United States (one in every 2,500 to 3,000 births). The neurofibromatoses affects more than 100,000 Americans; this makes NF more prevalent than Cystic Fibrosis, hereditary Muscular Dystrophy, Huntington’s Disease and Tay Sachs combined.
